Welcome to a new monthly blog, here we will be talking about the Edmonds Food Bank and how to fight Food Insecurity. The Edmonds Food Bank supplies Food and Information to all residents in Edmonds and the surrounding cities in South Snohomish County in Washington State. It is a 501 c3 Organization that has four on staff employees and a large volunteer basis. If not for the volunteers the Edmonds Food Bank would not be able to do all it has done for the community. Most of the food is supplied by donations from the community individual and by multiple stores. The Food Bank does purchase fresh produce and dairy on a weekly basis.
They have many programs based around feeding the community such as Pop-Ups that are emergency mobile food pantries that happened a couple times a month, The following is a list of the programs that the Edmonds Food Bank operates or Partners with.
